Summary

MPG is assisting the European Foundation Centre in its initiative to advance leadership in diversity and inclusiveness in the foundation sector, funded by the American Express Foundation

Description

Recognising the lack of information on the subject, the project will gather data to determine the extent to which diversity and its legal and societal ramifications have had an effect on the composition, programmes and attitudes of foundations.

Looking into the situation now, MPG will find out how diversity principles are applied in the philanthropy of foundations and within their organisations by conducting research on diversity in the composition of staff and boards as well as in the programmes they fund.

The project will include:

• Recommendations
  

The project is part of the European Foundation Centre’s initiative to look at how European foundations can, as grantmakers, employers, investors and social actors, cater to and reap the benefits of increasingly diverse societies.
